Prior to establishing Penta Asset Management S.A. and Penta Family Office S.A. in 2010, Maurice Benezra was Managing Director, Member of the Executive Committee of Union Bancaire Privée in Geneva and headed the bank’s Private Banking division for almost seven years. Before joining Union Bancaire Privée in 2003, Mr Benezra spent over ten years with HSBC Republic Bank (Suisse) SA where he held various positions. Initially in charge of the Lugano branch, he soon became responsible for client relations in Southern Europe and then developed marketing activities in Asia. In 2001, he was promoted Member of General Management at HSBC. Previously, Mr. Benezra worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers Bank (Switzerland) where he was Deputy General Manager, and for The Boston Co. as Senior Vice President. During his employment with these institutions, he worked on various projects in the areas of asset management, private banking and mutual funds. Before, he developed client relations in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea for a privately held Swiss trading company. He began his career at Trade Development Bank in Geneva, in charge of marketing functions for the international clientele. After studying in Milan and Geneva, Mr. Benezra completed his university studies at the University of Geneva with a degree in economics. He also holds an MBA with a major in finance from New York University.
